Matthew Motley is a TikTok content creator, speaker, and social media coordinator for Beloved Arise. During the pandemic, Matthew began to question his faith and started to explore deconstruction, wondering if it was possible to be both queer and still hold onto his beliefs. He decided to document his journey on TikTok, which quickly gained a following from others who were asking themselves the same question.

Through his TikTok platform, Matthew became connected with Beloved Arise in 2021. He was drawn to the organization's mission to provide a safe space for queer youth of faith to explore and grow in their spirituality and was excited to contribute to their efforts. As a social media coordinator, Matthew brings his experience in creating engaging and informative content to help spread awareness of Beloved Arise's mission and programs.

Matthew's journey has not only helped him reconcile his own identity with his faith, but has also given hope to others who may feel like they have to choose between the two. He is passionate about creating a more inclusive and accepting space for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Through his work with Beloved Arise, Matthew is making a tangible difference in the lives of queer youth of faith and helping to create a brighter future for all.
